Crypto currency craze in Suriname

Yes, as I’m writing this I realize i’m a bit late about this topic. So I’m gonna write a quick summary about experience with it.First of all, nothing is a sure thing and be prepared if you’re willing to spend (real) money on this, it’s money you already lost….like gambling. Is crypto something for you?

Starting with crypto

So how much did I spent? $10
How much did I gain? ….. Not a thing, yet..I hope ..
Like it’s been said before: “Never invest more than you are willing to lose”

The first step for me was to look out for a crypto currency I could quickly understand and the first one I came across was Digibyte.
The second step was how buy it.

Luckily I already had a friend in the crypto world so i did the easiest thing I could think of which was buy from him. We used another popular currency Litecoin and an online exchange site to transfer to my digital wallet. After that I thought I just sit back and watch my money grow. And it did! For a while at least.

The Scene

I knew it wouldn’t be easy , but you actually have to put in the work in it. Buy and Sell other currencies , wait for the right time, follow the exchange market. Yeah, it wasn’t for me. Others have invested in it though here in Suriname, they even sold a car with bitcoin. I’m not really convinced they did it the “legit” way with wallet transfers, it could have also just been a stunt to get more people to mine for them. But at least crypto currency made it’s name in Suriname. A lot of “For Sale” groups also were bombarded with asking who was selling, just to get into it. Everyone saw it as a quick way to make money. And when the price of Bitcoin dropped, everyone was asking who was buying.

Flash forward to present day , I forgot how to login to my wallet. Don’t know if the coins I have (or had) or worth something by now and I’m using online faucets once every blue moon to harvest some coins.

I just want some coins

The quick and dirty: If you really want to get into the crypto world (Bitcoin, Litecoin etc), I would suggest the best way is use faucets. Like the name suggests, it will “leak” crypto currency every now and then and the only thing you have to do is collect them. So I’ve written a few short steps to collect coins

  1. Make an account at CoinPot
  2. Collect Litecoin with the email you registered at  step one here
  3. Collect BitcoinCash here
  4. Collect Dash here
  5. Collect Bitcoin here
  6. Collect DogeCoin here

Everything you collect will go to your CoinPot account and if you have enough of one, you could exchange for the other. Or you could transfer to your wallet.
